One of the first consoles to use Windows as its platform, which made it easy to make games for… then, and now. This was a direct counter to the programming nightmare that was the Saturn.

It wouldn't be a Falcon video without the Frank Reynolds (Danny DeVito) shaking his head "no" meme. haha

The Dreamcast was funded by Bill Gates to see if the internet worked with gaming. This system is the reason why there's an Xbox Live and why they are so much better than PlayStation.

That is was a god awful system and Sega shouldve stopped at the Genesis? Sega Saturn, CD, 32X were all complete trash. Game gear was pretty cool, i liked it better than Gameboy just bc it was in color

Review correction: The mic was used in Seaman, Planet Ring, Alien Front Online (which can still be played online currently) and DreamEye. It was also used for the unreleased game Propeller Arena (which was leaked out fully functional). Dreamcast natively output VGA (480p HD) at 60fps. To note, PS2 was 480i at 30fps, odd being it was made AFTER the Dreamcast. Online ability was greatly overlooked including it had a BBA adapter for high speed internet which also allowed you to surf the web, log into your email provider of choice for those who had no computer back in 1998 (Japan) or 1999 (North America & Pall regions).

This was my favorite console to this day. Still have some favorite games like Sonic Adventure, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing, Toy Commander, Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Rayman 2, Soul Calibur, Virtua Tennis… Man. I need to play my Dreamcast again. As soon as my Retro Fighters controller comes in the mail, I am hooking up my Dreamcast and playing all my games again!

I remember sometime during the console’s dying days it was pretty touch and go whether Shenmue II (among other titles) was actually gonna get released in Europe. Then one day it somehow just magically appeared on the shelf in GAME, a couple of weeks ahead of the published release date. I snapped it up quicker than a very quick thing.

How about the emulators? It's the first console I ever owned where you could emulate other consoles, and I'm not talking about bleemcast. I burned a disc with a master system emulator and huge library of games, and it played them all perfectly. It's too bad the Sega Smash Pack had such poorly emulated Genesis games.

Back then I was a fan of Nintendo but I admit that Dreamcast was a THING though I never played it in my poor country where Sega Megadrive was ultra popular. Probably I was one of the few persons in the beggining of 90th who had PAL SNES with several games. Trust me that was something extraordinary. That is why Dreamcast is not that nostalgic for me. But I enjoyed you speech about good old days (were they really good?).
Thank you Falcon for some nostalgic memories of old days which now gone forever…

I had the 2 of the gun controllers, me and my friends wore out HOTD2 And Magnum Force, ..magnum force was 2 games, on one you was a sheriff had a wild west setting motif, the other one was a modern city had airplane hijackings and youd shoot terrorists, when youd shoot the magnum to get it the classic MAGNUM FORCE voice, was time to kick ass
