I had this system when I was 17 and believe me when I tell you the 2600 version of PacMan was dog shite. The ghostly flickering was bad enough, but the dots were dashes and the PacMan didn't have the ability to turn the direction you were going, necessarily.
Many of the games didn’t hold up particularly well over the years, but there are some very competitive head-to-head games like Activision’s Tennis, Freeway, & Ice Hockey, M Network’s Frogs and Flies, and Atari’s Super Football & Warlords that are great two-player fun. For 1 player there’s Activision’s HERO, River Raid, & Seaquest and Atari’s Phoenix, Vanguard & Berserk
I liked Pac-man and so did everyone else when it came out. It became a Millennial fad to call Pac-man and E.T. the "worst games ever made". Lots of movies used the Pac-man sound effects.
So many great games. I loved Kaboom, Circus Atari, Pitfall, Galaxian, Tennis, Phoenix, Crazy Climber, River Raid, Enduro, Keystone Kapers, Dig Dug, Millipede, Ms. Pac Man, Demon Attack, Baseball and more. Got a Harmony Cart a few years ago. Awesome!
Pac-Man on the Atari 2600 was pretty good considering the 4K rom cartridge and limited hardware they had to work with. Thankfully, after the game's release, developers including Atari looked for workarounds when making Pac-Man clones which lead to Lock 'n' Chase and Mouse Trap (pretty fun games) and then we got Ms. Pac-Man on Atari 2600 by Atari themselves which was an excellent conversion. Also, who could forget Jr. Pac-Man which has to be my favourite Atari 2600 game (and one of my favourite games in general).
Great list, I would say about half of them would be in my top 25. Atari had some excellent arcade ports, I don't see why atari pacman gets so much hate its a pretty fun game all things considered.
Love Atari games ❤️
Atari 2600 para sempre
Don't forget Tempest, Yar's Revenge, and Adventure !
I remember playing about 85% of these as a kid…seems like two lifetimes ago
Defender, Yar's Revenge, Q-bert, Tron Deadly discs, Adventures of TRon, Star Wars ROTJ Death star Battle
youre missing Keystone Kapers, Plaque Attack, Atlantis, Tutankhamen, Vanguard and Zaxxon
No spider-man??!! Or starwars!!
Space Invaders
Yars' Revenge?
Pacman for atari 2600 is crap. Instead, it should be Demon Attack
I used to play these back in the day, thought they were so cool then, blimey me ain't we come a long way today.

Bring back bad childhood memories as I was disappointed it's not like the arcade.

Megamania was probably my favorite game, I could play for days I think

Did you hear that terrible sound that PacMan made?
I had forgot about H.E.R.O
that game was sweet
Pac-Man sucked balls on the 2600.
Man, I still love custer’s revenge! I play it every day! Has everything I love in a game!

Nice compilation of games! Its always nice to see a new video posted from you. I hope you're doing well!

Great list for sure!
