Blazing Lazers is at least a 9.
Missing China Warrior
I loved the TurboGrafx, it was a very underrated console.
Great video Vic.
best review on this product.
Of course you read up on the heavily muscled, scantily clad, pixilated Adonises.
I just got my mini a few days early today and it's lovely. This has way more games I would play regularly than my other SNES and Genesis minis (pre-hack). Very cool collection. Anyway, these are great mini reviews. Thanks! I'll go ahead and hit subscribe, since this is my first EPN vid and I enjoyed it.
Most detailed out of all TurboGrafx mini reviews…rate each game, great job!
You need to also account for how hard these games are to play through and actually beat without any cheats cuz I hate these many systems were half the games that are impossible to beat its worthless I don't even want to buy them
Super underrated console. Just like the Sega Master System, the popularity of the NES (Plus Nintendo's nearly monopolistic policies back in the day) made it very hard for this consoles to gain some ground. Just bought the European model, and love it.
No “Devil Crush”… this is a massive shame. Alien Crush is ok, except there’s no scrolling. Instead, the screen flips between the upper and lower part of the pinball field, which is really off-putting. I don’t really get the “Bonk” games at all… especially the visuals. I don’t think they make the best of the hardware.
In general, most of these games feel like arcade games… i.e. designed primarily to swallow your quarters by spamming you with as much as the screen can handle. It’s quite a contrast to what I played on Mega Drive and SNES back in the day, where many games were a lot more forgiving. Also, quite a lot of them don’t have any parallax scrolling, so end up looking more like 8-bit games.
At 06:57 … um … what is that guy doing to that lamp post?
We played the heck out of chew-man-fu back in the day. We would trade off, my mom would even play, set ourselves challenges, like no killing monsters, or have to destroy all the wall… so much fun. like others I was surprised at the low score for motoroader, but that might be my nostalgia at work, played a tonne of that 5 players, I do remember getting mad when you would crash and all of a sudden you were warped like crazy and ran out of gas.
Great review, thanks for this , just ordered the turbografix mini on Amazon today
I want this but the launch has been such a mess. Seems like a victim of bad timing.
I'll give this video a 9.5/10
You need to grind several levels in the first dungeon in Cadash, it's honestly one of the best games on the system
You know you're old when you remmember walking through the mall in the 90s and seeing the TG16 playing on a TV in front of Radio Shack. I had one in high school and enjoyed it a lot. Would love to add this to my mini collection, but $200 shipped to Canada is a deal breaker for me unfortunately. Best to just enjoy the collection through a raspberry pi.
I just bought the turbo graphics 16 mini deafently my favorite mini system .wow !🤩
Ninja Spirit was one of my favorites I played on the original system.
Sucks no Final Lap Twin or Aero Blaster, thought Keith Courage would have made it on there. Also in 1988/89 there was nothing as amazing as Splatterhouse ! can not compare these games to current games.
Dungeon explore? I beat that Thang single player. Great memories. Took me a few months
CASTLEVANIA Rondo Of Blood Gets A,.. 12 Out Of 10 !!! For that game alone, was the reason why I bought one ! 😉
Rondo is definitely not harder than Dark Souls in my opinion.
No Keith Courage -> No Buy
Love your reviews Vic stay safe and keep making A+ entertainment
Definitely find the time to dive deeper into Ys I &II. If you can make it through the first game at least, I'd wager your 8 will easily be a 9 (or a 10, like EGM's Ed gave it at the time of release)
Love your mini reviews of these games. I loved Adventure Island as a kid.
can we pls get an update on the release/shipment?
i know thats not ur fault but all i heard was that it gets delayed and since than it has been just silence
Space Harrier on Turbografx is legit. I never got Space Harrier and I never played it in arcade, tried it on genesis and was terrible. For some reason this Turbo version I had a lot of fun with. Also Ys is epic, I had no history with it till this mini… I am into book 2 now and this game is utterly amazing and will be in my top 10. Definitely, a 9 or 10 out of 10 game.
What a silly way to market. Give all the game journalist a unit but don’t produce enough to actually have enough to distribute. Brilliant!
Ok, where can Canadians pickup a turbografx 16 mini??
Fun Fact Victor, I named all of the characters (except for Zonk) and Stages in Air Zonk 😉
Really enjoyed this video! Makes me want to revisit your Sega Genesis mini round up video again!
Nobody was ever jealous of the kid in school that had the Turbo Grafx but maybe we shoulda been this collection looks like a lot of fun
Soldier Blade for me
For Cadash, you really have to get past the first boss and not let the initial bad impressions keep you from continuing. Along with Splatterhouse, Cadash is one of my favorites on the system.
Hey Vic, I heard a rumour that there are no plans to sell this system in Canada and Amazon won't ship it here. Any idea how I can get one here in Vancouver? Or should I just come to your place and play yours 😆? Thanks!
