Got my preorder in. Although the $90 shipping and 2023 delivery date is a big oof. These guys need to fix their distribution.

I still love my original Gameboy consoles. Am not so mad about a light up screen. Just the original is prefect for me. I being playing since the Gameboy pocket come out in the uk. Am now 31years old. And I love Gameboy more than PlayStation consoles. But is abit ok the new Gameboy.

It bugs me that so few reviewers don't even mention one of THE biggest benefits of FPGA – Zero input lag!

Systems implemented via FPGA have no more lag than the original consoles would, only it's even less in this case as these systems have fancy scalers built in as well, meaning you'll have literally zero added lag even on modern displays!

Certainly can't say that when hooking an old console directly to a modern flat panel!

I finally got mine a couple days ago and I am SOOOOO happy with it. This thing is awesome and negates the desire I had to eventually pick up a modern, modded GB, GBC, and GBA. I have all of the original systems, but obviously it’s not the best way to play those games anymore. Those screens are terrible. So to have all of this functionality in this amazing high-end device with a beautiful gorgeous screen with multiple options, I can now dig out all of my old cartridges and enjoy them again the best way possible. I’m just so happy. Worth every penny. Thanks, Zion for the video as always! 💙

Gotta admit, I freaking LOVE the way that custom GBA looks that you're constantly showing in this vid. I NEED that same case for mine!

Having Sleep Mode take up as much power as when the device is turned on is quite strange to me… I don't get why a save state isn't made when put into sleep mode so that it can essentially use little to no power in said mode, just like the Switch. The Switch doesn't die that fast when in it's Sleep Mode.

Spawn Wave was also saying that the carts sit in the cart slot very loosely, which is a really alarming thing to hear. It seems really strange to me that Analogue would be ok leaving the design like that instead of creating a tighter fit for the carts. It seems rather inexcusable if you ask me, as I can see the carts easily sliding out of the slot or being bumped out of it during gameplay. It seems like a rather cheap oversight for such a premium device.

I'm tempted to wait and see if they release one with a different screen (not sticking out) and a better game slot (not sticking out.)

Nope. Unless you are a diehard that has more than just Gamboy games for Old skool portables.

    Buy the Actual Gameboy Hardware.

    Much Cheaper.
