7 years ago now, Animal Crossing: Wild World was ported over to the Nintendo Switch for fans of the series to enjoy. This time around, could we expect to see Retro Ports of older games on the Nintendo Switch, such as Wild World, Population Growing and City Folk? When would they arrive? Let’s take a look.

I don’t think this is likely at all tbh

It'd be interesting replaying the older games and look at their respective time capsules of what was considered "current", like how the PC furniture looked and sounded compared to what we have today, searching for Pocket Pikachus villagers lost, Pitfall seeds being just called "Pitfall" while having us originally assume it was the old Atari game, and the gloriously sharp and blocky graphics of yesteryear

But I'm pretty damn sure at the very least the Gamecube game would omit the NES games we could originally find, collect and play :/ Also it'd be jarring for new players to see just how mean villagers used to be before you successfully got them to warm up to you

The switch is such a revolutionary console yet I feel like they are not using its full potential.

As some people already said here in the comments WE NEED the older games on the switch.
I dont minds paying for it and am sure lots of ac fans don't mind either. 😭

Ayo fix that description because it got me very confused by the "Animal crossing wild world was ported on Nintendo switch"

If they used switch it would be epic if the tv could serve as one screen and the controller screen as the other

New Leaf was my first AC game, so to be able to play the older ones on Switch would be nice to try.

Now, Bob's Gang…I have a high hope for this.

Hopefully, Population: Growing (if it gets ported or remastered) will have the villagers that were exclusive (and/or introduced) to DnMe+!

I want two Francines and two Chrissies living on my Switch!

I know I'm pretty biased but I'm not really interested in any ports unless it's the GameCube game. 😅 I'm just so ready to play it again and its a classic.

The DS game's on Wii U were running under emulation, they were not ported to the system itself. However they did make use of patched roms that had minor quality of life changes.

I would lose my mind. The DS was my first and only other experience with animal crossing and ever since I started playing ACNH I’ve been dying to try out the DS game again. I gifted my DS to a student four years ago tho 😩

1:37 if you have Super Mario 3D All Stars on cartridge and didn't purchase the digital version you can still play super mario galaxy on your switch. Super Mario galaxy is a wii game

They’ve had a few Wii ports over on the Switch, not sure if you were aware of them or that you don’t think City Folk would be possible on the Switch.

Super Mario Galaxy, Go Vacation and Skyward Sword come to mind.

monster hunter 3 was on both the 3ds and the wii and they ported the 3ds mhgu to the switch so i dont see why they couldnt port other 3ds games as well, if not wii games we have been getting either new renditions of old wii games or ports for awhile now

wild world would be such a cool one because it gives the npcs a lot more character and backstory. tom nook. able sisters. oh, anyone else remember the story blathers tells about where his fear of bugs stems from? I was like "ah, sorry dude, that sucks, anyway I have 6 bugs to donate"

the nintendo switch has the best controls ive ever played with, the grip the joycons and the buttons are placed so perfectly and holding the switch is so comfortable, as much as i love old games and old consoles, i cant stand any other controller. i wish i could play the older animal crossing games with the switch controls
